Internship Program Overview:
Our Interns & Co-ops are our entry-level talent pipeline for GF acrossthe globe. Summary of Role:
As an Industrial Engineering intern, you work closely with ourengineering team on projects that may include factory capacity planning,product flow analysis, equipment-use optimization, new product ramps andproductivity improvements. Work includes analyzing ways to balanceequipment utilization, meet production demand and consideration ofspending targets. This position requires an individual with stronganalytical and problem-solving skills. This position will be located atGLOBALFOUNDRIES in Essex Junction, Vermont.
Essential Responsibilities include:
Projects could include managing capacity at the equipment-level,identifying ways to optimize fab product flow, support to industrialand operations team to manage WIP, and engineering support formanufacturing operations (including work study analysis).Project scope includes proposed solutions, analysis of businesscases and presenting results.Data Analysis work to include streamlining large data sets toidentify trends and productivity opportunities.Communicate effectively across teams in manufacturing operations,quality, engineering and maintenance. Participate in problem solvingsessions, including lean methodologiesOther Responsibilities:
Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and supportall Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, andprograms.Structured problem solvingRequired Qualifications:
Education - Actively pursuing a bachelor\'s degree in IndustrialEngineering or related field.Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)Travel as needed - Up to 10%Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.Preferred Qualifications:
Prior internship or co-op experience in Industrial Engineering orrelated Manufacturing operationsProject management skills, i.e., the ability to innovate and executeon solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.Strong written and verbal communication skillsStrong planning & organizational skillsData analytical skills to simplify large amounts of data.#InternshipProgramUS
