Salary: $110,000-150,000/year
Workplace: Onsite in the San Francisco Bay Area
Responsibilities
Provide support and contribute to daily laboratory operations, supporting efforts to identify therapeutic antibody candidates.
Design, execute, analyze, and troubleshoot various immunological assays including proliferation, viability, activation, and functional assays using various read-outs including flow cytometry, luminescence, fluorescence, and ELISA to deliver data to support platform.
Support efforts to implement, execute and report studies focused on identifying therapeutic antibody candidates for autoimmune diseases.
Document experimental protocols, designs, and results in a laboratory notebook.
Employ computer programs such as Excel and Prism to collect and analyze data.
Analyze, report and present data at company research meetings.
Interface with projects and teams across the organization to advance our programs.
Follow all laboratory safety guidelines, practices and protocols.
Coordinates and collaborates on research-related tasks across multiple groups.
Adheres to all department and company-wide policies regarding conduct, performance, and procedures.
Qualifications
Ph.D. in immunology or related fields with 2+ years of experience in immunity/autoimmunity, preferably in a biotech setting.
Preference given to those working in project driven drug development.
Hands on experience with immunology and immunological assays
Experience with immune cell-based assays including cytokine secretion assays, cell proliferation assays and ELISAs.
Expertise in aseptic techniques for cell culture and cell isolation
Experience with multi-color flow cytometry and data analysis (FlowJo) a plus
Experience with the 10X Genomics platform a plus
Ability to collaborate seamlessly with others in the organization to design experiments and implement protocols.
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Prism, and other programs to create and distribute reports.
Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.
Strong organizational and record keeping skills.
Effectively able to communicate plans and results in both oral and written form.
Ability to work in a fast paced and highly dynamic collaborative team environment.
