We are looking to hire a detail-oriented HVAC technician to install, maintain and repair HVAC systems. The HVAC technician will be skilled in cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems. An HVAC Technician, or a Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Technician, installs and repairs various air quality systems. The pay rate for this job is $30 - $32 / hour
Responsibilities:
Performs troubleshooting and repair of building distribution systems including low pressure steam distribution, heat exchangers, hot and cold deck systems, air handlers, and pneumatic and digital controls.
Performs HVAC system inspections and manufacturer-recommended preventive maintenance.
Monitors and adjusts system setpoints and output using remote computer links to the building's programmable logic controls.
Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
Daily climbing of stairs, ladders to reach units, Continuous reaching, bending, stooping, to access equipment to make repairs or read gauges

Qualifications:
Experience in steam distribution systems; distribution piping, radiators, and control valves
Knowledge of HVAC installation, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance.
Ability to perform inspections and make necessary adjustments to conform to job specifications.
Knowledge of low-pressure boilers, chilled water production units, compressors, turbines, generating units and water systems.
Ability to repair and/or replace building mechanical systems components, including programmable logic controls, control valves, sensors, etc.
Requires heavy physical work, heavy lifting, pushing, pulling required of objects up to 50 pounds.
Ability to perform preventative maintenance according to published guidelines.
Working knowledge of refrigerants and refrigerant recovery.
3 to 5 years experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified; equivalent military, commercial or industrial experience may substitute.
