Description:
The HVAC Engineer will have responsibility for maintaining and improving HVAC systems at the site. This person will analyze existing HVAC systems for compliance, reliability and efficiency improvement needs and subsequently implement improvements in testing/qualification, maintenance practices and procedures.
• Oversees a team of technicians for maintenance and on-going testing and qualification of the sites clean room air handling and HEPA filtration systems.
• Assists with the management of testing/qualification and maintenance of the sites clean room HVAC systems and HEPA filters.
• Develop, update and implement SOPs, PM procedures and work practices for improved reliability and compliance of site HVAC systems.
• Provide hands-on leadership to technicians in troubleshooting HVAC issues to root cause, determination of impact and in implementing effective CAPAs to improve reliability of HVAC systems.
• Provides recommendations for HVAC capital improvements and upgrades as well as coordinating engineering, validation, manufacturing and quality teams to assure upgrades are appropriately planned, budgeted and implemented. Key goals will be improving robustness and reliability of critical air handling systems.
• Hands-on review, tracking and oversight of HVAC related PM work orders and activities to assure proper documentation, accuracy and timely completion.
• Support manufacturing operations in troubleshooting and resolving issues, implementing effective corrective and preventive actions and minimizing HVAC related operational issues.
• Identify and achieve cost and energy reduction goals through engineering projects.
• Support development of long-range plans for site infrastructure and system improvements.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Requirements
• BS in engineering or equivalent related experience.
• Minimum 5 years of plant manufacturing experience.
• Minimum 5 years of hands on experience designing, specifying and installing process equipment and utility systems.
• Minimum 5 years of hands on experience facility modifications and construction management.
• Minimum 5 years of Project Engineering/Project Management Experience
• Must have a strong understanding of WFI water systems, process utilities, HVAC, BAS & Automation systems, programming, commissioning (PLC, SCADA, BAS)
• Clean Room experience and aseptic processing experience required
• Must be familiar with State, Federal and local codes.
• Requires a good understanding of budgeting and cost control.
• Must have working knowledge of AutoCad or SolidWorks
• Desired experience with critical utilities (WFI, OFCA, Clean Steam, HVAC).
• Process Control and Instrumentation experience strongly desired.
