Robert Half is working with growing locally owned and operated business to find a talented Human Resources Manager. The HR Manager is responsible for overseeing personnel and daily operations of the human resources department as well as supporting the Assistant VP / HR Director. Primary Responsibilities:
In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
Nurture a positive working environment
Establish & communicate company policies and procedures
Ensure employment law & regulations are followed
Coordinate performance management
Coordinate HR projects & responsibilities
Long term ability to supervise a team of HR Generalists
In the first 6 months, the candidate will:
Gain exposure to business campus, learn the team dynamic, the business, and processes.
Chip in where you can and do a rotation through the various departments to get to know the team and the products.
Monitor and maintain benefit information for the company.
Handle compliance and training.
Take on projects including working with IT, Accounting, and Marketing.
Requirements
-8+ years of HR experience, preferably coming from a senior or manager level.
-Has strong systems experience/capabilities – will be assisting on related projects here to help with systems improvement. Software: UKG Ultipro | Kronos
-Thorough when handling confidential business matters and information with discretion
Excellent ethics, integrity, and standards
An understanding of the key principles of employment law and EEOC regulations
Ability to view issues without prejudice
Adept to problem-solving and conflict resolution
1+ years of supervisory experience within human resources
Broad knowledge of HR policies, benefits administration, compensation and wage structure
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively throughout all levels of the company
Possess strong organizational and follow-up skills
PHR/SPHR or other relevant certifications are preferred
Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field is preferred
-Multi state HR experience preferred
-Manufacturing and Distribution a plus
