About the RoleReporting to the Team Manager, Compensation and part of the Total Rewards Solution Center, the Human Resources Compensation Specialist is responsible for a variety of technical, administrative and support functions aligned to the delivery of General Dynamics Land Systems (GDLS) Compensation Programs.

The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off).On-going learning opportunities within a diverse, inclusive and rewarding work environment.Onsite Cafeteria, remodeled with new equipment Fitness Center, and Outdoor fitness track.Responsibilities to Anticipate for this RoleSupport the planning and execution of the annual U.S. compensation cycle for both base pay and incentive programs for all global executives, directors and U.S. employees.Compile data and develop tools in support of compensation metrics, reporting, forecasting costs and annual incentive budgeting.Generate, create and validate large monthly employee data file for external compensation tool (PayScale).Perform various data integrity analysis and data validations to ensure compensation data is accurate and complete.Participate annually in all third-party compensation surveys relating to salary budgets, adjustments, job matching and policies and practices.Complete a full analysis to benchmark GDLS compensation policies, practices, budgets, salary adjustments, and positions to the marketplace using a variety of sources and data cuts.Ensure the equitable and consistent application of all GDLS compensation policies and practices.Ad-hoc assignments or projects, as assigned.Required QualificationsBA/BS degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance or Statistics.Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Human Resources or Financial Analysis.Advanced level proficiency in MS Office specifically Excel (pivot tables, macros, advanced formulas) and Access Databases.Demonstrated strong academic achievement/work performance.Required SkillsAptitude to work to tight deadlines, juggle multiple projects and delivery under pressure.Proactive, solution focused with meticulous attention to detail.Excellent planning, organization and time management skills to track and prioritize workload.Enthusiastic with a desire to further develop expertise in human resources.Ability to deal with confidential information with a high degree of diplomacy.Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and deliver to aggressive timelines.
