About Human Resources Business Partner - Bi-lingual

  Human Resource Business Partner (Bi-lingual-English and Spanish) located in Oakdale Minnesota - this is an on-site position, with the potential for occasional Hybrid work. We currently have a full-time opportunity for an HRBP to work within our Life Sciences Division in our Oakdale Minnesota site. This position will also provide virtual support to our San German Puerto Rico facility. SUMMARY: The HR Business Partner provides consultative direction and advice to employees and management on best HR practices and coordinates and facilitates timely responses to individual needs. Provides high level human resources support, advice and assistance to employees and management on strategic planning, policies, practices, regulations, and procedures regarding equal opportunity employment, performance management and disciplinary procedures. Responsibilities include operationalizing of HR programs in multiple business areas including talent acquisition, talent development & management, total rewards, HR administrative program execution and implementation, payroll/benefits, and talent analytics. Responsible for enabling business unit compliance for policy implementation, affirmative action, and legal compliance. Essential Functions Key contributor to driving positive morale and culture at the sites. Works closely with site leadership to develop programs and initiatives that aid in employee retention. Serves as point of advice, problem resolution, and facilitation in the areas of employee relations, performance management, and employee corrective action. Advises both employees and management regarding employee relations policies, procedures, and documentation; researches, identifies, and analyzes specific employee relations concerns and makes appropriate recommendations to management. Provides consultation, and coaching, and builds relationships with Operational Partners. Serves as a facilitator/mediator to resolve problems, Works closely with Talent Acquisition and site leadership in the planning, approval, and implementation of staffing; assists with and facilitates proactive staffing plans. Works closely with Talent Development and site leadership to assist with leadership and employee training and development initiatives. Provides support and problem resolution to departments including, but not limited to, Family Medical Leave and leave policies, compliance with ADA, FLSA, and other related regulations and internal policies. Ensures compliance with all federal, state, local, and corporate standards, regulations, and policies. May work on special projects as needed. Maintains systems data and records and may compile reports concerning human resources related data on an ad hoc basis. Promotes and supports the overall mission of Pace by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with customers and staff; acts in a manner that promotes a harmonious and effective workplace environment. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in human resources administration, or a closely related field; AND three (3) to five (5) years of professional human resources experience; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Required Knowledge and Skills Required Knowledge: Principles, practices and techniques of employee relations and general HR process and programs including multiple areas of HR focus such as talent and performance management, employee relations and other HR programs. Applicable employment laws, codes, and regulations. Computer applications and systems related to work. Records management principles and practices. Techniques for working with a variety of individuals from various socio-economic, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds, occasionally where relations may be confrontati nal or strained. Principles and techniques of providing effective oral presentations. Principles and practices of program planning, development, and evaluation. Correct business English, including spelling, grammar, and punctuation. SHRM certification preferred. Required Skills: Ability to speak, read and understand Spanish. Proven ability to create a culture of positivity and enthusiasm. Performing professional-level human resources duties in a variety of assigned areas. Interpreting, applying, and explaining applicable laws, codes, and regulations. Maintaining accurate records and files. Providing consulting services to supervisors and managers. Preparing clear and concise reports, correspondence, and other written materials. Using initiative and independent judgment within established procedural guidelines. Using tact, discretion, and prudence in working with those contacted in the course of the work. Performing effective oral presentations to large and small groups. Contributing effectively to the accomplishment of team or work unit goals, objectives, and activities. Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with a variety of individuals contacted in the course of the work. PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Mobility to work in an office setting, use standard office equipment and stamina to sit for extended periods of time; strength to lift and carry up to 10 pounds; vision to read printed materials and computer screens; and hearing and speech to communicate in person or over the telephone. WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Work is performed in an office setting. Work is subject to some travel as needed.
