The firm is seeking a Human Resources Assistant to join the HR Shared Services team. The HR Assistant will be responsible for clerical and administrative work in support of the Human Resources department as well as attorneys and staff firm-wide. Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. Familiarity with Word, PowerPoint, and Excel as well as HRIS systems (Workday) required.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Support the Human Resources Shared Services team.Act as point of contact for HR requests, monitor HR mailbox.Monitor Workday Help Workspace for general HR requests.Perform Workday data entry for personnel actions including, but not limited to, location transfers, promotions, status changes and related employment matters.Draft memos and documentation relating to personnel actions including, but not limited to, location transfers, promotions, status changes and terminations.Process invoices for payment.Assist with processing payroll advances and separation payments.Assist with scheduling and organizing appointments; take minutes during departmental meetings.Assist with processing verifications of employment.May assist with preparation of human resource reports such as new hire and turnover reports.Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.Experience with Workday and/or viGlobal preferred.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to operate general office equipment.Ability to maintain confidential information.
Education and Experience:
1+ year of previous Human Resources experience.College degree preferred; High school diploma or equivalent required.
The primary location for this job posting is in Palo Alto. The actual base pay offered will depend upon a variety of factors, including but not limited to the selected candidate's qualifications, years of relevant experience, level of education, professional certifications and licenses, and work location. The anticipated pay range for this position is as follows: $22.48 - $30.41 per hour.
The compensation for this position may include overtime and a discretionary year-end merit bonus based on performance. We offer a highly competitive salary and benefits package.
