Human Resources Specialists are responsible for welcoming and onboarding new employees, as well as managing employee records and relations for their company. They’re vital members of the HR team, and touch virtually every employee with what they do.   Job Duties:

  Assist in the recruitment and selection process, including job posting, resume screening, and coordinating interviews.

  Maintain and update employee records and ensure accurate data entry in the HR system.

  Process new hires, terminations, and other employee status changes, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.

  Provide guidance and support to employees regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures.

  Assist with employee onboarding, orientation, and training programs.

  Manage and facilitate performance review processes, and provide feedback to employees and managers.

  Support HR manager in handling employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.

  Coordinate and participate in HR projects, such as policy updates, diversity initiatives, and employee engagement activities.

  Assist in the administration of benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.

  Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address HR-related issues and contribute to a positive work environment.

  Requirements

  2+ years of experience in HR roles, with a focus on HR operations and employee relations.

  Strong understanding of HR policies, employment laws, and best practices.

  Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.

  Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.

  Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

  Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

  Team player with a customer-service mindset.

  HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP or PHR) is a plus.
