Description If you love Human Resources and you're looking for an engaging, new Generalist opportunity, Robert Half has the opportunity for you as a Human Resources Generalist. In this role, you will perform various HR duties, including recruiting, conducting new hire orientation, updating the employee handbook, and managing employee relations.
Your responsibilities in this role
Create official internal documents such as offer letters, appointment letters, salary adjustments, updates to the employee handbook, leave of absences, and warning/termination letters
Collaborate with other members of the HR department to oversee the hiring and onboarding process for new company employees
Manage digital and physical files for employees and their documents, including benefits, attendance records, and annual reviews
Design templates for HR documents, including the Employee Handbook
Manage employee relations, including coordinating sensitive conversations and engaging employee
Develop employee engagement plans, including budget approvals and management oversite
Evaluate employee performance, including appraising pay scales, assisting with annual reviews, and coordinating disciplinary action (including terminations if necessary)
Create onboarding plans and educate newly hired employees on internal procedures, HR policies, and regulations
Create & /or support a recruitment plan according to operational and business projections
Engage with other teams, including with upper management, employees, and third-party vendors
Accountable for completing various tasks and the daily operations of the HR department
Compare local, state, and federal laws to current internal policies and procedures Requirements
Experience using Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
Willing to work as part of a team or independently and have the drive to take on a variety of tasks and projects
Full cycle recruiting experience
Prior HR experience in a Generalist capacity
B.A. or B.S. degree preferred, preferably with a Human Resources or Psychology emphasis
Skilled in technology applications and software, as well as social media platforms
Strong knowledge of local, state and federal laws
Prior experience or knowledge managing Open Enrollment is a plus
This position's duties require a person who is highly professional; able to use good judgment and maintain a high level of confidentiality and sensitivityExcellent written and verbal business skills
