Purpose/Introduction
Chevron Phillips Chemical is currently seeking an HR Assistant to join our team for the new Golden Triangle Polymers Company facility in Orange, TX that will be operated by Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LP. This is an exciting opportunity to utilize your experience and contribute to the startup of a new facility from the ground up.

Responsibilities
Perform administrative functions within the human resources department and work closely with Human Resources Business Partners to provide day-to-day support.
Process appropriate pay adjustments associated with errors, annual increases, or pay progressions.
Provide SME support for the timekeeping system by reviewing time sheets, employee schedules, wage computation, and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies.
Provide a broad range of customer service consulting to employees and managers pertaining to policies, procedures, benefits, payroll, database administration and end-user support.
Ensure error-free data entry into the Human Resource Information System such as new hires, terminations, promotions, transfers, position changes, etc.
Provide Ad Hoc reporting in a timely manner with accurate answers to questions.
Coordinate pre-employment medical and drug testing and assist with new hire orientation.
Establish and maintain confidential employee information and records.
Support and/or participate in ongoing HR projects and initiatives.
Work as a team player with the ability to multi-task and demonstrate exceptional written and oral communication skills in an environment focused on delivering excellent customer service to managers, employees, and HR colleagues.
Demonstrate a proactive commitment to a safe working environment.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED
At least 3 years of HR administrative or related experience
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
Ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Ability to analyze confidential information and consult with team utilizing tact and judgment to accomplish goals while protecting privacy
Outstanding communication skills with all levels of employees including management.
Results and goal oriented
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
High personal and ethical standards
Preferred Qualifications
Associates Degree or higher
Proficiency with SuccessFactors Employee Central, SAP HR, WorkForce Timekeeping
Experience with bi-weekly and semi-monthly payrolls in 24-hour rotating shift environment.
