About HQ Safety and Security Supervisor

This role is on-site Monday-Friday based out of our Boston HQ. This role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as required by the job.

The HQ Safety and Security Supervisor will play a key role in ensuring the safety and security of Wayfair’s Copley Headquarters, overseeing daily corporate security operations. Reporting to the Manager of Corporate Safety and Security, this position is responsible for monitoring critical systems, coordinating emergency responses and developing a high-performing safety and security program.

The successful candidate will bring leadership experience, operational and technical expertise, and a proactive mindset to address safety and security challenges in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a strong ability to manage incidents, foster team excellence and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to safeguard the company’s people, assets, and operations.

What You’ll Do

Lead and manage Corporate Security and Safety Operations for the HQ Boston Copley Office, ensuring professionalism and operational readiness.

Monitor access control systems and CCTV to detect and respond and investigate incidents promptly.

Create and manage team schedules to ensure adequate security coverage during HQ operational hours.

Serve as the primary contact for first responders and key stakeholders during high profile events and emergencies.

Plan, coordinate and resource training and responses to critical incidents, mitigating risks and enabling employee safety.

Maintain detailed documentation of incidents, communications, plans and resolutions.

Develop/enhance security programs and protocols to support training and compliance.

Handle sensitive information and incidents with discretion and maintain confidentiality.

What You’ll Need

Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or a related field preferred.

5+ years of experience in a security role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.

Familiarity with access control systems (e.g., Lenel) and surveillance technologies.

Proficiency in Google Suite, and incident reporting tools.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with internal teams and external agencies.

Proven ability to make sound decisions under pressure, particularly in crisis situations.

Relevant certifications (e.g., CPP, PSP) are a plus.

High attention to detail, with the ability to multitask effectively in dynamic situations.

Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong bias for action and comfort with ambiguity.

Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods (e.g., sitting or standing).

Ability to move about within an office, store, or warehouse environment.

Ability to lift or carry items weighing up to 50 pounds as needed.
