Come join our team at the Fayette County Housing Authority and make a positive difference in our community.DESCRIPTION OF WORKAs a Housing Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting homes on the Section 8 program, which are privately owned. This includes pre-inspections, follow-up inspections and annual or bi-annual inspections. Also, you will be inspecting Public Housing units owned by the Housing Authority. You will be required to maintain knowledge of local codes and HUD housing standards and regulations; Ensures components such as electrical, plumbing, heating and ventilating systems, and normal housing accommodations are structurally and functionally operative, and maintained in a customary, safe and sanitary condition according to federal regulations and local codes, safety laws and approved plans, specifications, and standards.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employment.Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.You will receive further communication regarding this position via email.
