Description The Housekeeping and Laundry Manager is responsible for planning, organizing and directing the activities of the housekeeping and laundry personnel to ensure the buildings are in a clean, sanitary, orderly, and attractive condition. Ensures laundry is sorted, laundered and distributed per community standards. Supervises all housekeeping and laundry staff. Essential Job Responsibilities: Manage and schedule the housekeeping and laundry staff including conducting performance reviews and disciplinary actions as needed, tracking work in the preventive maintenance software system. Maintains department housekeeping and laundry budget. Trains new staff, monitors work performed, and communicates procedures and job expectations. Procurement of housekeeping and laundry supplies and equipment. Participates in capital planning process. Adheres to all local, state and federal compliance requirements, maintaining accurate records. Promotes safety with staff and reports all safety concerns to proper personnel. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous housekeeping experience required, preferably in a health care setting. Ability to effectively communicate in both verbal and written formats Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident's Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, Fair Housing laws and regulations Preferred Qualifications: Previous supervisory experience.
