Hotel Sales Coordinator Aquarius (Laughlin, NV)
Description:
General Summary
Responsible for maintaining corporate, convention, association, social, reunion, small groups, bus groups, wholesale accounts, corporate and direct bill accounts and military accounts. Continuously work telemarketing sales leads, review and post blogs on social media sites, cold call sales leads, contact past groups and assist and follow up with all in house groups and clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for maintaining corporate, convention, association, social, reunion, small groups, bus groups, military, wholesales accounts, and direct bill accounts.
Assist Director of Catering and Sales Manager with catering groups. Answer phones, set appointments, meet with clients and assist with payment collection from sales and catering groups.
Liaison between catering, room reservations, accounting, front office and group sales to ensure all travel industry accounts are maintained and properly managed.
Formulate statistical data for informational, comparative, forecasting and utilization purposes for Director of Catering and Group Sales Manager.
Conduct site inspections of the property for walk-in guests, travel agents and corporate accounts, tour operators, meeting planners or SMERF coordinators. Responsible greeting and meeting the needs of all in-house groups.
Responsible for monitoring accounts. Working daily through continuous client correspondence while maintaining accurate and complete files and records. Assist with contacting clients. Coordinators will prepare and distribute various reports, contracts, bookings, resumes, rooming list changes and other sales/catering-related paperwork. Coordinators must ensure contracts are returned as scheduled, deposits are received and final payment arrangements are completed.
Coordinators will be accountable for processing reservation requests/contracts, e-mail requests/contracts, facsimiles, sales kits and any other promotional materials.
Coordinators will be responsible for packing and shipping promotional materials for trade shows.
Ordering office supplies and promotional materials is also required.
Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
Provide outstanding guest service to all internal and external guests
Requirements:
Job Specifications – Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum two years of experience in the travel industry, convention industry or hospitality preferred.
Coordinator should be proficient in software programs as required, i.e., Word, Excel, Delphi, LMS, etc.
Excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to apply common sense to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral form.
Must possess excellent listening and oral and written communication skills.
Must be able to communicate effectively in a group as well as one-on-one situations.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Must be able to obtain and maintain all cards required by the company.
Must be able to verify right to work in the U.S.
