Job Summary: Responsible for coordinating Medical Imaging scheduling, exam prep information, and patient reception and discharge. Must be able to perform all aspects of patient identification per hospital policies. Must demonstrate ability to scrutinize all orders for validation of information provided vs. required/matched information in department systems. Must possess strong attention to detail. Responsible for transcribing external provider orders into EPIC. Requires basic understanding of ICD. Must possess strong customer service and communication skills. Requires high functioning multi-tasking abilities. Must demonstrate the ability to form a good rapport with patients, coworkers and ordering offices. Requires basic understanding of Medical Imaging exams including pre-authorization requirements.
