　　Health Information Management (HIM) Scanning Specialist

　　This is a full-time, hourly position on UCHealth's HIM team based in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

　　Summary:

　　Performs clerical duties and technical skills associated with medical record scanning.

　　Responsibilities:

　　Performs document preparation, scanning and indexing of medical records, and audits results for image quality and accuracy.

　　Assembles and maintains complete medical records.in F

　　Scans medical records accurately and timely.

　　Validates accuracy of scanned documentation.

　　Required:

　　High School diploma or GED

　　1 year of experience in patient health information or medical records scanning

　　Preferred:

　　Associate's degree

　　Certified as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).

　　Training in Medical Terminology and Human Anatomy

　　Medical records scanning experience
