Description

　　Our client, an industry-leading manufacturing company in Chicago, IL, is seeking a dedicated Level 1 Help Desk Analyst to join their team. The company values their IT department as a vital contributor to their success and this position plays a key role in ensuring smooth and efficient operations.

　　Responsibilities:

　　Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance over the phone or email.

　　Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions.

　　Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by customers.

　　Walk the customer through the problem-solving process.

　　Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel.

　　Provide accurate information on IT products or services.

　　Follow-up and update customer status and information.

　　Password resets and handling user account issues in an Active Directory environment.

　　Requirements

　　Proven experience as a help desk technician or other customer support role.

　　Ability to diagnose and resolve basic computer/technical issues.

　　Proficiency in English.

　　Excellent communication skills.

　　Customer-oriented and cool-tempered.

　　Good understanding of IT principles and an ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to a varied audience.

　　Strong problem-solving skills.

　　Working knowledge of office automation products and computer peripherals, like printers and scanners.

　　Knowledge of network security practices and anti-virus programs.

　　Experience in a Windows environment is mandatory.
