Our company is currently interviewing company drivers, and/or owner operators to stay out over the road. We operate Monday-Friday, with opportunities to stay out 2 weeks at a time. Traditionally, we travel in Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, Kentucky, and Tennessee but will operate outside of this area. With traffic, weather, and road conditions constantly changing, we expect our professional drivers to make a reasonable effort, exercise caution at all times and adjust for conditions by driving defensively. Offering full benefits, competitive-hourly pay with overtime, and a well-structured program that allows the drivers to drive while the support team takes care of the rest.
Essential Functions:
Performs and logs pre-trip and post-trip inspections on equipment, reporting any defects found.Safely transports freight to destinations following any special requirements and making any necessary adjustments to the route while maintaining communication with dispatch.Maintains transportation records including ELD, bill of ladings, scale tickets, fuel receipts and other load related paperwork.Adheres to all operating instructions, all local, state, and federal regulations, established company procedures, and maintains equipment supplies.Job Requirements:
Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years' recent driving experience with a Class A CDL.Candidates must be able to pass a D.O.T. medical examination and drug screening.Candidates must be able to be dispatched out of Alma, Michigan.Candidates must be able to stay out overnight on the road.
