$300 SIGN ON BONUS AFTER 90 DAYS IF ELIGIBLEPRINCIPAL DUTIES: The Heavy Duty Mechanic performs the following:•Conduct vehicle/equipment inspections and diagnostic tests; identify and resolve worn, broken, or damaged parts.•Verify vehicle performance by conducting test drives; adjust controls and systems.•Coordinate with shop manager on ordering materials and scheduling inspections as necessary •Identify mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical system problems and consider possible solutions.•Maintain vehicles/equipment using preventive maintenance procedures that meet or exceed industry standards.•Correct vehicle/equipment deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems.
