Join our growing team today!We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Heavy Duty Mechanic at our Shop in Newman Lake, Washington.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:- Help maintain and repair construction trucks and equipment, including hydraulic repair, brake work, electrical repairs and welding- May perform service repairs in the field- May have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of units from small fleet vehicles, class 8 trucks/trailers, construction equipment and large mining machines- Complete all paperwork that may be necessary- Must have own journeyman hand tools, but Knife River does provide large tools and has a replacement policy- Assure all safety policies and procedures are followed to prevent any and all unsafe actions, processes and behaviors observed- Other duties assigned as neededPosition is considered Safety Sensitive: Work is performed in an industrial environment with large equipment and suspended loads.Hours: 6:00am - 2:30pmMust have the ability to work flexible shifts, including overtime, off shifts and weekends.Compensation:The wage range for this position is $25.25 - 44.19/hrMinimum Qualifications:- Previous mechanical experience on class 8 trucks, trailers and equipment- Strong troubleshooting skills- Welding and fabrication experience desirable- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license, and clean driving record: Knife River will assist with training and expense- Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check, physical/functional exam and drug screen- Display a professional and courteous attitude towards all team membersBenefits:Full-time employees are eligible for the following benefits:-Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance-Health Savings & Flexible Spending Accounts-401K with Company Match-Profit Sharing-8 Paid Holidays-Paid Time Off-Life Insurance-Employee Assistance Program-Safety Incentives-Years of Service RecognitionHow To Apply:To be considered for this position, candidates must complete and submit an employment application at jobs.kniferiver.com by the posting deadline noted above.
