Join our Health Systems Transformation practice as a Healthcare Compliance Specialist in Albany, where you will play a crucial role in navigating the complexities of healthcare today. Collaborating closely with team members, you will be instrumental in conceptualizing, delivering, and supporting our clients. Your primary responsibility involves providing analysis expertise to evaluate the performance of the 1915(c) Children’s Waiver across New York State, ensuring compliance and excellence in service.
Job Duties:
Evaluate child/youth cases for compliance with applicable regulations.
Communicate evaluation requirements and follow-ups clearly.
Assess documentation against regulations and collect data to support compliance findings.
Utilize technology to digitize documentation and securely transfer files.
Record and summarize compliance findings for the Children’s Transformation Program.
Identify trends in non-compliance and make timely recommendations to project management.
Assist in operationalizing the project's processes and procedures.
Contribute to internal and external reporting.
Build and maintain stakeholder relationships to ensure high-quality customer service.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Nursing, Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Care Management, Healthcare Compliance, Public Health).
6-10 years of relevant experience.
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Social Worker, Care Manager, or similar roles, with a focus on critical care, public health, or care for vulnerable groups.
Extensive knowledge of HCBS Waiver programs, particularly the 1915(c) NYS Children’s Waiver.
Experience with CANS-NY, UAS-NY, Medicaid Health Homes, or similar transformational programs.
Familiarity with OMH, OPWDD, OCFS, and multiple Electronic Health Record applications.
