Apple Valley Village Health Care Center, is hiring a Full-Time Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) to join our team. In this role, you will coordinate information and provide administrative support to our team to ensure our residents and visitors have the best possible experience. Our ideal candidate has a knowledge of medical terminology and prior experience as a Health Unit Coordinator.  There is a $1,000 Sign On Bonus payable over 1 year's time.

　　This is a Full-Time, benefit eligible position working Monday through Friday and alternating weekends and holidays. Hours: 9:30 am to 5:30 pm

　　Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) responsibilities:

　　Answers telephones and directs visitors.

　　Maintains residents' medical records.

　　Coordinates appointments and communication with physicians and vendors.  Sets up medical appointments and arranges transportation of residents as needed.

　　Transcribes Physician's Orders, with high degree of accuracy in the facility EHR census data.

　　Assist with paperwork and medical documentation related to resident admissions

　　Complete other tasks as requested.

　　Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) skills and requirements:

　　High school diploma or equivalent

　　Experience as a health unit coordinator, or health information certification desired.

　　Knowledge of medical terminology required.

　　Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills.

　　Accurate and proficient computer skills including Windows based applications.

　　Time management skills for working in a fast-paced, multi-task environment.
