Description
Are you ready to lead and make a meaningful impact on the LGBTQ community's health and well-being? Callen-Lorde Community Health Center is seeking a dynamic Health Center Director for our Brooklyn location. As the Health Center Director, you will play a pivotal role in providing leadership and oversight to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of day-to-day administrative functions of patient services.
Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise operations at our Brooklyn site.
Collaborate with clinical leaders to ensure regulatory compliance and quality standards.
Maintain high service standards through regular training and individual meetings.
Address service failures and boost staff morale.
Cultivate relationships with partner organizations and funding agencies.
Participate in committees and initiatives, fostering community engagement.
Oversee linkages for patient access to external services.
Efficiently allocate resources for patient-centered management.
Coordinate with centralized services for seamless operations.
Ensure site compliance with regulations and organizational policies.
Contribute to DEI efforts, fostering an inclusive work environment.

Qualifications
Education, Experience
Bachelor's Degree required or relevant experience.
3-5 years of practice management/administration preferred.
Two or more years & high level administrative experience in a healthcare setting, including staff leadership.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and health information-applicable state regulations.
Demonstrated ability to develop, evaluate, and act on analytical information.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced medical environment.
Strong computer competency, including knowledge of Electronic Medical Records, computerized appointment/billing programs and other Microsoft Office programs.
Extensive knowledge of HIPPA and all federal & NYS State patient privacy regulations/laws.
Desired Characteristics, Skills
Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
Familiarity with LGBTQ, HIV and health-related issues and community resources.
Ability to work with diverse populations.
Ability to remain calm, focused, and helpful under stress.
Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
