Park Avenue Securities was founded in 1999 as a complement to Guardian’s traditional portfolio of individual life and annuity insurance products. Park Avenue Securities is Guardian’s broker-dealer and corporate Registered Investment Advisor (RIA), which offers clients an expanded suite of products and solutions to help them achieve financial well-being.
The Head of Park Avenue Security Business Development is an integral part of Park Avenue Securities (PAS) and the GAIC Fixed Annuity portfolio. Reporting to the President of PAS, this Leader will be responsible for growing sales of Park Avenue Securities products and GAIC Fixed Annuities (other than FAs via the Fidelity platform) with a primary focus on the more strategic and advanced business development angles and channels with greater revenue potential.
You Will:
Be Responsible for driving sales results with business development team across full suite of products through relationship building and sales campaigns. Team consists of external and internals
Develop product management strategy through partnership with Product Management and Marketing Teams
Develop advisory strategy across current platforms including corporate RIA, third party asset managers and Separate RIA
Develop of Retirement Planning strategy for individuals and small/medium businesses
Partner with recruiting team on recruiting strategy of Wealth Management individuals as well as succession planning strategies
Develop industry partnerships to drive competitive platform and revenue

You Have:
15+ years overall experience in business development leadership and strategy in Wealth Management
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Series 7, 63/65, 66 required; Life/Health insurance Licenses, CFP, AIF preferred
Proven leadership, coaching and developing highly effective sales teams
Strong relationship and consultative management skills
Proven to deliver results through sales team and have active sales processes and management with metrics and KPI’s
Experience developing, aligning, and leveraging effective incentive compensation planning
Preferred wholesaling or leading wholesalers with captive insurance distribution, although with 3rd party distribution acceptable
Excellent “live” presentation skills, articulate, polite, confident, able to establish relationships with the Field, including GAs, Investment Specialists, FRs, MDs, and Home Office personnel

50-70% travel focused on coaching the team, meeting with General Agencies and attending sponsored events and training
Salary Range
$148,970.00 - $244,745.00
The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
