Guided by the vision of “smart and sustainable solutions beyond rubber,” the group sector draws on its long-standing knowledge of the industry and materials to open up new business opportunities by combining various materials with electronic components and individual services.

  We are looking for a Head of Facility Manaegment in our location Northeim (Continental AG Division ContiTech).

  The mission of the position is to plan, coordinate and control all facility management activities in order to meet budget and facility management targets (e.g. utilities and media availability, facility costs, etc.). Furthermore, the Head of Facility Management initiates and implements action plans for continuous improvement of all facility management relevant processes.

  Main tasks:

  Manage and coordinate all facility management activities for the plant

  Translate plant facility management strategy into action plans and ensure implementation

  Contribute to strategic and operative planning of the plant/operations unit (e.g. with respect to investments, capacity and headcount planning)

  Initiate and control investments for facility equipment (e.g. energy supply, steam generation, emission treatment, etc.)

  Plan and implement investments for building equipment and infrastructure (all equipment except production and supply chain equipment) according to standards

  Plan and implement building equipment and infrastructure maintenance (mechanical, electrical) until building wall (equipment and infrastructure maintenance within buildings is to be done by manufacturing engineering maintenance staff) according to standards

  Perform energy management (e.g. set plant energy reduction roadmap, setup and implement energy reduction projects, etc.) according to standards

  Promote sustainable energy initiatives and project concepts to the management

  Ensure performance of facility services (e.g. cleaning services, postal services, internal courier services, canteen services) according to standards

  Participate in and/or steer global or local facility management related and cross-functional projects

  University degree, preferably in mechanical or electrical engineering, energy supply or related technical discipline

  Professional experience in various facility management functions

  Cross-functional experience e.g. in engineering, quality, purchasing or CBS preferred

  Manufacturing and especially facility management related technologies, systems, infrastructures, standards and processes incl. technical controls, drives, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanics

  Experiences with rubber and plastics production processes

  MS Office programs

  German and English business fluent, other language skills desirable

  Intercultural sensitivity

  Project management skills, tools and techniques

  Problem-solving skills and the ability to quickly familiarize yourself with processes

  Leadership & management skills (incl. team-building, delegation, performance management and people development techniques)
