  JOB OVERVIEW

  As Head of Communications, you will be responsible for ensuring the development and delivery of the America's communications strategy and roadmap (including external and internal communications) in accordance with the business priorities, and in line with the global communications strategy.

  The ideal candidate for this position should possess strong leadership and collaboration skills, demonstrating the ability to work effectively with others. Exceptional proficiency in both written and verbal English is a key requirement, with fluency in Spanish or French considered an additional asset. The candidate should have a sound understanding of digital communication skills, coupled with a commitment to accuracy, attention to detail, and excellent organizational abilities. The role demands the capacity to handle multiple large projects simultaneously. Moreover, the candidate should exhibit a proactive approach in taking charge of issues and ensuring their resolution through to completion.

  Strategy & Culture

  Drives KONE’s strategy communications implementation and culture development in the Americas.

  Drives strategy and change communication related plans and communication initiatives at the Americas level.

  Develops communications channels and content for thought leadership initiatives, in line with Area’s business objective.

  Communications & Brand Development

  Supports the Americas leadership team in communications related topics, including communication training (crisis media, relations, and change communications).

  Strongly supports in promoting KONE and KONE’s solutions towards both internal and external stakeholders, and actively builds KONE’s brand and protects the organization’s reputation (including marketing PR).

  Acts as a crisis communications coordinator at the Americas level.

  Owns and manages communications partners/network at the Americas level (PR agencies, content agencies, etc.).

  Actively builds KONE brand and protects the organization reputation.

  Leads internal communications channel and content development work at the Americas level.

  Talent Development/Management

  Leads the Communications team within the Americas.

  Develops and leads the communications competencies development in the Area: crisis, media relations, marketing PR, internal communications development.

  Responsible for the performance management and talent development of the Communications team within the Americas.

  Business Partnering & Collaboration

  Consults and supports the America's leaders in communications.

  Active, participating member of the Americas P&C leadership team as well as the Global Communications CoE leadership team.

  Applies global processes, channels, and tools when applicable and actively collaborates with global teams in developing new processes, channels, and tools.

  Shares best practices with global team and other communication professionals within KONE, actively strengthening the KONE Communications network.

  HIRING REQUIREMENTS

  Bachelor's degree required, preferably in corporate communications, marketing or journalism.

  Minimum of 10 years of experience in both internal and external communications.

  International experience is seen as an asset.

  Experience in change, crisis, and issues communications.

  Experience in brand and reputation management.

  Demonstrated experience successfully leading complex projects in a multicultural environment.

  Excellent knowledge of media landscape in the Americas, public relations, marketing PR and crisis communications.
