Thisincludes project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring andcontrol, closing and acceptance. Utilizes generally accepted projectmanagement practices and methodologies (as determined by the department)to accomplish the project goals and objectives. Directs the activitiesof all the project personnel including but not limited to the vendorsand consultants, toward successful completion of projects. Ensuresadherence to quality standards and assures project deliverables are metas defined by the department. Other duties as assigned. Otherinformation: EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: A minimum of three years of totalproject management experience is required. If project management was notthe specific role that project management (as defined in abovedescription) was a significant portion of assigned responsibilitieswithin those three years.Direct experience in project management (orrelated responsibilities) is preferred. EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent education/experience is required.Education in a related field is preferred. Project ManagementProfessional (PMP) certification is preferred. SPECIAL SKILLSDESCRIPTION: Able to manage small, medium and large projects (up to 5000Hours) with little to no supervision Ability to facilitate WBS planningsessions Demonstrates leadership Knowledge of project managementprinciples normally acquired through a Bachelors degree or equivalenteducation/experience is required. Able to demonstrate project managementskills and follow defined processes. Able to use support tools (MSProject, Project Web App, Sharepoint, MS Office etc.) with minimaltraining and guidance.
