Medis is part of Teva and is our industry leader in Out-Licensing Generic Pharmaceuticals products. Medis offers a broad portfolio of 185+ pharmaceutical products covering a broad range of therapeutic areas. We offer multiple dosage forms including immediate and modified release tablets and capsules, soft gel capsules, nasal suspensions, ointments, gels, oral liquids and injectables. The opportunity
The Head of Commercial Operations and Marketing oversees overall product management, product/pricing strategy, and launch processes for Medis' portfolio and active supply, aligning with the company's growth strategy. Working closely with customers, internal teams, and regulatory/IP departments, the Sr. Director ensures successful launches, manages regulatory strategies, and addresses patent matters related to product management.
Partnering with the Medis VP on global business strategies, clusters, and portfolio, the Sr. Director adds value to organizational profitability, growth, and international reputation, ensuring objectives are achieved. Responsibilities extend to running the department efficiently, economically, and overseeing employee training. Proactively researching industry sectors, the Sr. Director seeks solutions for enhanced employee performance, leading to reduced total costs. Human resources matters are handled in accordance with Teva's policies.
How you’ll spend your day
Organizes the Commercial operations department, defines its yearly work plans and the department routines and infrastructure, and manages the daily work of the department and the planning of the needed resources.
Oversee the overall product management within Medis for products throughout its lifecycle and the creation and maintenance of product strategies for products including regulatory strategy in collaboration with clusters and management of the available MA’s.
Oversee the commercial price management for all products both pipeline and in active supply, including establishment of base prices, pricing strategy and handling of low margins. He/she is responsible for reviewing and advising on action plans on low margin products / contracts.
Build and maintain a firm launch management infrastructure, to define yearly and long term launch work plans, and successfully execute accordingly while collaborating with external and internal key stakeholders.
Oversee the overall project management of client launches and transfers between manufacturing sites.
Responsible for overseeing and management of global events or conferences that Medis participates in fx. CPhI.
Works closely with the Clusters and other functions to add value to organization’s profitability, growth and international reputation and ensure that overall organizational objectives are met.
Responsible for recruiting, leading, mentoring and developing team members within the cluster.
In collaboration ensure alignment and full integration with Medis and Teva support functions and provide leadership and support as needed.
Your experience and qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business or related field of study
10+ Years of experience in a commercial leadership role within the pharmaceutical industry
Deep experience and knowledge of the generic pharmaceutical business
Experience with commercial management and knowledge of regulatory/compliance requirements essential
Fluency in the English language
Strong commercial leadership with ability to lead for success and building International teams
Ambitious with a strategic and results oriented mindset
Critical analytical, planning skills and flexibility to adapt to changes
Superior process improvement skills
Strong commercial acumen, interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills
Proven ability to build and manage successful teams
