Reporting to the APAC Head of Claims and CEO of Thailand, this position will be responsible for delivering the Claims strategy, accountable for the claims budget, and developing talent management.

How you will create an impact

As a Senior Leader, you reach across geographical and functional boundaries to create alliances that further the organization’s objectives and market position. Your deep and broad industry knowledge allows you to foresee external conditions that could potentially affect AIG’s future.

Lead the design and implementation Claims strategies across Thailand to support both Consumer Commercial product sets, aligned with Global/International claims, as well as Country business plans and priorities.

As a member of the APAC Claims Leadership Team play a leading role in the design and implementation of region wide strategic work to improve financial and service outcomes for the claims function and AIG.

Lead the Claims Transformation program and contribute to the improvement of the AIG Thailand business.

Responsible for leading and managing the claims services and operations in country.

Represent AIG interests with key customer and regulatory stakeholders and take responsibility for developing and delivering the claims value proposition as well as being the escalation point to resolve issues disputes. Ensure a reputation of Claims excellence service delivery in the marketplace.

As a member of the Thai Executive Team, lead the design and implementation of business plans across Thailand and ensure that budget targets priorities are met.

Lead cross functional collaboration efforts across the business, including ensuring that claims actively support growth and efficiency priorities within the wider business.

Lead efforts to strengthen Claims management, triage, adjudication and forecasting), driving modernization, process improvement and transparency, with particular emphasis on improving the efficiency of the claims function, quality and timeliness of claims forecasting and service to customers.

Ensure that Thailand are operating within appropriate regulatory framework boundaries and protection of all licenses and agreements. Adhere to and embed the Company’s risk policies, Statement of Operating Standards and any AIG policies, audits, controls and ERM procedures.

What you’ll need to succeed

A driver of change with a strong background in designing and executing change and building a continuous improvement culture.

A commercial thinker with deep knowledge of insurance and financial services industry; an ability to determine how external changes or decisions will impact the company, and plan accordingly. Strong financial acumen; able to anticipate, identify, and explain the financial implications of decisions.

A strategic thinker and executor who develops a bold vision and distinct strategies that result in competitive advantage; an individual who also translates strategies into specific objectives and plans and can lead execution; someone who understands the profitability drivers of the business and prioritizes initiatives that will accelerate AIG’s momentum; an innovator and brand builder; someone who can take the team with them.

A Regional influencer who builds strategic relationships and alliances with key external stakeholders across the Region, influencing decisions to advance the organization's objectives and enhance the growth potential of the company within the region.

An AIG ambassador who will strengthen the AIG brand within the marketplace by representing AIG persuasively and effectively in high-stakes internal and external settings.

A collaborative people leader with a proven track record of managing cross border teams in a matrix organization, with the ability to influence and stakeholders across a wide geography.

Technical Skills and Expertise:

Strong capability to effect organizational change to include strategic and operational improvement experience.

Leadership skills to lead a team and a business through a transformation and shift team culture.

Strong capability to manage the total cost of claim whilst delivering improved service outcomes in Thailand.

Demonstrates an excellent grasp of trends and developments of claims.

Identifies opportunities to improve process and efficiency and a track record of leading and executing improvement.

Established strong relationships with customers and intermediaries.

Demonstrated business savvy, strategic, analytical and quantitative skills.
