We are seeking a Head of Business Operations and Customer Engagement to join our dynamic team. This individual will be responsible for interacting with the leadership here at IQVIA Biotech and other divisions.
Job Overview
This role is a critical support to Therapeutic Area heads across the business in terms of establishing, rolling out, and continuously improving global project management tools and business processes, including risk management.
This role ensures Biotech is well positioned to sustain growth with the right infrastructure and operating models. The role directs the Project Management Office function, the Project Coordination Office function and the Business Performance Leads. The role is responsible for driving financial management and delivery performance, overseeing monthly KPIs and working with Business Unit Heads on action places for improvement. This role is responsible for driving EAC accuracy and forecast accuracy across the Therapeutic Areas. The role focuses on our key emerging biotech accounts to ensure customers are managed proactively and diligently, as well as propelling systematic enhancements across our wider portfolio.
Essential Functions
• Manage staff in accordance with organization’s policies and applicable regulations. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance and guiding professional development, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing employee relations issues and resolving problems. Approve actions on human resources matters.
• Coach and mentor employees around project planning, project review, risk management and problem solving to ensure global alignment of work practices across the team through the adoption and use of all process and technology tools and improvements.
• Obtain and provide regular feedback to employees to assist in personal and professional development. May attend project team meeting in order to support development needs. Identify skill and competency gaps at the individual level and work to craft development plans that will close the gaps.
• Ensure organizations working knowledge of EAC, baseline and change control in terms of scope, budget, schedule and risk/issue management.;
• Ensure required trainings are completed on time.
• Complete and discuss the Project Lead competency framework with each direct report.
• Actively engage with the review of project performance dashboard for tracked information. Follow up with direct reports to ensure system and metrics compliance.;
• Review metrics and ensure required updates are made in IQVIA systems to ensure accurate and timely reporting is available to senior management.
• Proactively manage risks linked to resourcing, project and/or individual needs with other management and leadership team members to manage study issues and obstacles.
• Lead and/or actively participate in corporate initiatives, act as a departmental cross-functional liaison and/or change agent, provide technical expertise and project management experience.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in life sciences or related field required.
• Requires broad management knowledge to lead teams, as well as the ability to influence others outside of own job area regarding policies, procedures, and goals.
• Requires 12 years of prior relevant experience, including substantial project management or relevant functional experience in clinical research.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $154,900.00 - $263,700.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
