GCOM is looking for candidates, to fill a role of Expert IT Specialistto join our NYS Department of Health located in Albany, NY.
Key Responsibilities:
Working closely with other team members, the selected candidate will perform many tasks relating to transitioning the current C�ram system functions to an external vendor. This will mostly include Application and Data analysis using Rational Rose and SQL Developer, and sharing findings using written communication, but addressing questions verbally in meetings with technical and non-technical staff. Further, the selected candidate will:
work closely with responsible Manager on assignment status, progress and overall priorities, preparing documentation and providing informal estimates as needed.Provide backup support to the System Administrator, including but not limited to Application stop/start, manual batch execution, working with network/server/database technical teams.
Perform technical analysis of a secondary Java system following Business analysis work, and provide estimates to perform changes, and then change the system accordingly.Perform administrative tasks: Attend and participate in meetings, prepare a weekly report, complete NYS LATS timecard.
Mandatory Qualifications:
84+ months: Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.
Desirable Qualifications:
36 Months Experience with designing, coding, deploying applications built using the C�ram Social Program Management framework. 36 Months Experience with developing applications using Rational Rose. 24 Months Experience leading a technology team including adhering to system development life cycle industry standards. 84 Months Experience with Java programming. 36 Months Experience with developing using Oracle 10g or newer. 36 Months Experience with Version Control Systems, such as Git, SVN, etc24 Months Experience with configuring application servers such as WebSphere or WebLogic. Candidate has a bachelor's degree in Computer Science. Candidate has certification in C�ram version 4.5 or greater. The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. This includes, but is not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and geographic location. At GCOM, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current hourly range is $48.00 to $58.00.
