About Contract Analyst II-Tulsa (hybrid)

  Position Description:

  Job Posting End Date : This position will be removed on February 2nd, 2024.

  You will report to the Supervisor, Contracts, and have 2+ years of experience reviewing and analyzing contracts. This position will also support the contract management system. You need to be organized, have a high attention to detail, and can multi-task. This position will be in Tulsa and will work a hybrid schedule (3 days in/2 days out).

  What You Will Do

  Prepare, analyze, negotiate, interpret, and communicate information from legal documents with moderate complexity and associated risk such as leases, service contracts, licenses, software agreements, and other contracts.

  Analyze, prepare, review, maintain, and/or process contracts, records, and related legal documents with moderate complexity and associated risk.

  Utilize judgment, research, and interpret legal documents to ensure compliance with contract terms.

  Ensure compliance with all company standards, tariffs, and procedures including meeting insurance requirements to satisfy company risk management matrix.

  Negotiate contract terms and provisions with moderate complexity and associated risk.

  Maintain assigned contracts and related documentation in computer database and imaging systems. Using independent decision-making to recommend and approve system improvements.

  Provide information, guidance, and assistance to customers, attorneys, company, and contract personnel relative to rights and obligations in assigned contracts.

  Compile and analyze ad hoc reports and provide them to management, attorneys, and other company personnel.

  Prepare and maintain all approvals, waivers, contractor/vendor information including certificates of insurance and prequalification documents, and other legal documents.

  Provide training and guidance to ONE Gas personnel on database and imaging systems.

  Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.

  Employee may perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

  What You Will Need

  Preferred bachelor's degree in Legal, Business Administration, Accounting, or an equivalent combination of formal education and the following job-related experience:

  Experience working with contracts with moderate complexity and associated risk.

  Working knowledge of assigned contracts and related legal terminology.

  Experience with application of basic math and algebraic formulas used in multiple spreadsheet applications.

  Experience in recording requirements of legal documents.

  Experience in use and function of tools and equipment applicable to position including computers, contract management database, imaging systems, spreadsheets (can maintain complex spreadsheets), and other applicable software.

  Knowledge and training relative to (as specified by position):

  Legal terminology

  Contract law and contract preparation

  Business communications

  Record maintenance

  Data management systems

  Insurance coverages and Certificates of Insurance

  DOT and OQ requirements

  Interpersonal communications

  Experience reading and interpreting documents, contracts, leases, forms, manuals, publications, and correspondence.

  Experience conducting internal and external research and preparing contracts, records, reports, and correspondence.

  Experience interacting, negotiating, and communicating effectively.

  Read and write fluently in English.

  Minimum applicable driver's license and mobility to travel in and around office surroundings and to other business locations.

  Communicate and exchange information or instructions.

  Visual abilities to perform job responsibilities.
