The iPhone Hardware Engineering team is searching for an electrical hardware engineer passionate about iPhone system technologies. The ideal candidate will collaborate with multi-functional teams to conduct thorough analyses, testing, and validation of SoC features, power, performance, and thermal aspects on iPhone systems. They will play a pivotal role in driving optimal SoC architecture design and system integration solutions for the product.
Key Qualifications
3+ years of experience
Strong fundamentals in Electrical Engineering (EE) and excellent problem-solving skills
In-depth understanding of mobile SOC architecture and functionality is a plus
Proficient in SOC functionality, performance testing, and validation
Hands-on experience in SoC/board/system-level bring-up, issue debugging, and testing using lab equipment to measure power, thermal, and performance
High-level knowledge of mobile system power delivery and Power Management IC (PMIC)
Proven Passion for Engineering, initiative, innovation and creativity
Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Perl, Shell, etc.)
Description
Focus on current and future iPhone SoC power, thermal and performance characterization, actively contributing to optimize system-level SoC design. Direct involvement in iPhone SoC silicon bring-up, debugging, testing, and validation at the system level. Collaborate with multi-functional hardware and software teams in silicon and system validation, Failure Analysis (FA), and factory test. Implement comprehensive test flows in various silicon test environments using scripting languages. Demonstrate creativity, enthusiasm, and adaptability in problem-solving, working closely with system integrators throughout the project life cycle, from concept and design to implementation, debugging, validation, and production. Willingness to travel and work in factory build environments.
