Job Summary:
Are you interested in helping to manage a strategic program within the Advanced Technology (AT) Mission Area that develops a next generation, hypersonic system? This Block 2 Execution Program Manager will report to the Block 2 Program Manager and will provide program leadership while supporting the execution of all phases of this complex development. This effort builds upon the baseline Hypersonic program and adds key functionality to the system that will be demonstrated through ground, captive and flight testing.
This position is onsite located in Tucson, Arizona.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Supports the Program Manager for the overall success of the program, company and customer success, on-time delivery, and for identifying and assisting in the development of new programmatic opportunities within the customer community.
Manages cost and schedule performance of the current and any subsequently awarded modifications and communicating program status and strategies to senior leadership.
Partners with the government customer to develop the goals, strategy, and vision for this program starting from initial contract award.
Supports development of strategies to meet the full spectrum mission and supporting needs of the customer community.
Develops and maintains collaborative and responsive internal relationships with peers across the AT Mission Area, R&C, and corresponding Mission Area functional leads such as Supply Chain and Finance.
Basic Qualifications:
Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience, OR an Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 7 years experience
Industry, government and / or closely related business experience
Program Management or project management experience
Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Relevant Advanced Degrees
Ability to obtain Level 4 PM Certification or possess industry related PM certifications Demonstrated experience articulating customer positions, status, and strategies to senior management
Experience managing programs with high technical risk and high visibility
Experience communicating complex technical knowledge to the technical community outside of RMD to include customers and vendors
Proven ability to develop and maintain long term business relationships with customers and partners
Experience and demonstrated success managing change, building teams in a matrixed organization, developing leaders and mentoring others
Proficiency in developing and presenting Strategic Plans, AOP, Technology Roadmaps, and planning to senior management, and responsibility for executing approved plans
Ability to focus, evaluate, motivate, and reward the teams, enabling them to achieve desired results
An active and in-scope Top-Secret US security clearance

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
