Your Role: What you'll be doingAs a Guidance, Navigation and Control (GN&C) Systems engineer on theVulcan Development Avionics team, you will be responsible for designing,developing, and integrating new GN&C system solutions for ULA launchvehicles. Responsibilities include:Act as the technical lead for ULA GN&C system development efforts.Developing new GN&C system architecture solutions.Developing GN&C unique preflight, flight, coast, and orbital mission CONOP's.Executing trade studies for new guidance system capabilities.Developing GN&C system and component requirements.Selecting and working with suppliers on component development.Developing test requirements and sequences.Working with software engineering teams to define requirements and performsoftware data reviews.Executing hardware/software qualification tests and system integration.Supporting guidance analysts.We are looking for team members with a passionfor the space industry, who enjoy solving complex problems and can workeffectively in a fast-paced environment.
Your Background: What education and experience you'll needRequires a bachelor's degree and 6-10 years of experience.
Your Background: What skills you'll need
A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field from anaccredited college or university is required.Experience with Aerospace GN&C systems and concepts (inertial navigationsystems, GPS tracking systems, space borne attitude determinationcomponents, filters, throughput, latency, communication bandwidth,steering control, actuation, thrust vectoring and attitude control strategies)Experience with electrical and electronics engineering.Experience managing system redundancy and working single fault tolerantdesigns.Understanding of inertial, position and attitude control systems, guidanceand navigation strategies and applications.Understanding of vehicle stability and control requirements.Familiarity and an understanding of the application and ability to integrateinertial sensors, position determination hardware, and attitude sensingcomponents into an overall guidance solution.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Independent worker with capability to solve complex problems.Ability to work effectively with others and interface with internal/externalcustomers.Available to travel if required.

Summary Salary Range (Colorado Only)$128,211 - $200,321
