  Description and Requirements

  Role Value Proposition:  

  MetLifeUS Technology Group Coreorganization is the teamthat supports our US Group Benefits Policy Administration & Claims. The Business Systems Analyst will be closely aligned to our Group Universal Life and Group Variable Universal Life Products, working with the business and developers toidentifyopportunities for merging systems.

  Key Responsibilities:

  Work with business/developersto translate given business problem into analytical solution with defined outcomes.

  Analyze theconfigurationin depth, using SQLs and other exploratory tools against variouspolicy administration systems.

  Convert business requirements to functional requirements, with detailed transformation rulesdevelopers. This is a very technical hands-on role andis responsible forthe functional design of the end-to-end process.

  Understand the true problem statement/requirements of the business and be able to propose multiple solution options.

  Understand the requirements fromBusiness..Understand the business andCustomerimpact on use cases.

  Write validation scripts tovalidatethe data loaded by data engineering team.

  Work with IT, business, and architects to develop and design requirements to formulate technical design. 

  Skills to understand the right functional domain knowledge of the business to be able to gather right requirements for the design.

  Capture meta data, data lineage, reference data management and data quality rules as part of data governance.

  Lead the team, including stakeholders, spread across the globe in driving the delivery of projects.

  Lead/mentor other analysts within the team and/or organization.

  Required Skills/Knowledge:

  Bachelor’s degreeand experience working with Group Universal Life Policy Administration.

  10+ years of solutions development experiencewithin the Group Insurance Business.

  Extensive experience writing functional requirements and high-level design documents, data-flow diagrams, etc.

  Experience in writing validation scripts to validate the data, data integrations and ETL transformations.

  Analytical skills to analyze situations and come tooptimaland efficient solution based on requirements.

  Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  Strong leadership and negotiation skills.

  Preferred:

  Strong background or working experience in Insurance Industry.

  Ability to interact with senior leadership teams in IT andbusiness
