This position is responsible for the overall cleanliness of the PCF building. This includes interior areas such as the warehouse and offices, as well as outside docks, smoking areas, eating/break areas, parking lots, and fence lines. In addition, this position is responsible for vegetation maintenance and management of stormwater leaving PCF property, including changes in filtration, cleanliness of catch basins, and media.
What you'll do...
Perform general cleanup of all areas of the building as directed (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, restroom cleaning, etc.)Remove garbage and recycling dailyCarry out cleansing tasks and special projectsSweep, blow, pressure wash, and steam clean exterior/internal areasMow grass, edge grass, trim hedges, pull weedsKeep smoking, dock, and break areas clear of debrisClean around and under trash compactorClean storm drains and keep drains clear of contaminatesClean outside windowsNotify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairsRecognize, identify, and offer solutions to potential safety/emergency issuesOperate a large diversity of hand and power tools associated with required tasksOther duties as assignedWhat we look for...
1-2 years of grounds maintenance/custodial experienceAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to work in a refrigerated warehouseAbility to handle heavy equipment and machineryKnowledge of cleaning chemicals and suppliesExcellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detailAbility to meet productivity requirements while operating in a safe and efficient mannerMechanical aptitude is a plusAbility to work independently with written and/or oral instructions, with and without supervisionGood oral and written communication skills (ability to read and write in English in order to receive direction and process paperwork)Ability to safely and professionally operate hand tools, power tools, and warehouse equipment (e.g. forklift, floor jack, scrubber) and/or the willingness to be trainedWhat you'll gain...
