POSITION MISSION STATEMENT The grants administration lead is the manager of the grants administration team and primary subject matter expert on the full breadth of grants administration services and is accountable for entry, processing and paying of grants to the community on behalf of the Saint Paul & Minnesota Foundation, Client Foundations, and affiliates. ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT The operations team is the backbone of the Saint Paul & Minnesota Foundation. The team supports the Foundation in a number of functional areas including grants administration and enterprise planning. The team is responsible for processes that support our people, power our business, and drive our learning. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Oversight and optimization of all grantmaking processes, including but not limited to, grant entry, due diligence, grant quality assurance, and successful grant processing. -Develop and main expertise in all active grantmaking programs and processes. -Serve as the primary subject matter expert for grants administration processes, procedures, standards, data integrity, and systems usage. -Implement and provide quality controls including monitoring and reporting. -Manage a portfolio of grant programs including entry, approval, due diligence, quality assurance, and processing as appropriate. -Manage administrative functions of grants process including monitoring incoming applications, intake meetings, board reports and grants analysis. Learning & Effectiveness: -Assist Director of Operations with identifying, planning, and delivering operational effectiveness improvements with a particular focus on grantmaking -Lead process optimization projects which include analyzing, redesign, and implementation Team Performance: -Provide day to day work direction to maximize productivity. -Motivate and lead staff to ensure positive and collaborative environment, resulting in creation of a high performance and continuous improvement culture which values contributions of each team member. -Create and maintain grants administration written procedures. -Directly supervise grants administration staff including, but not limited to, individual staff development and annual review process.
