JobPurpose: Our next Grant Writer will be responsible for preparing grantproposals to obtain financial funding for the organization and itsprograms. This position writes grant proposals capturing the essence ofthe organization\'s mission and effectively communicating itsprogrammatic needs in alignment with funder requirements. The incumbentworks to ensure the overall quality, accuracy, and timeliness ofWellpoint Care Network\'s RFP submissions to meet funding targets.Qualifications: Bachelor\'s Degree in Public Administration, Business,Non-Profit Management, or related field required; Master\'s degreepreferred. Minimum of three (3) years of grant writing experience with aprovable track record in successful grant research and writing.Experience working in a non-profit or educational setting required.Experience in fund development or community engagement preferred.Project management experience is a plus. Knowledge of the history,structure, objectives, programs, and financial needs of theorganization. Knowledge about how foundations, corporations, governmententities and other grant issuing organizations work. Excellent writtenand oral communication skills Demonstrates ability to work independentlyand effectively with staff, clients, caregivers, and purchasers. Must behonest, dependable, and able to meet deadlines; Self-motivated and ableto work independently. Valid driver\'s license with an acceptabledriving record, reliable transportation, and meet agency auto insurancerequirements. Required or reliable transportation to conduct on-sitelearning throughout the state. Ability to demonstrate critical thinkingskills, detail oriented, highly effective verbal, and writtencommunication skills. Demonstrate an ability to effective understandingand practice of cultural humility and ability work and communicaterespectfully with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
