  Then come and join our global team as Gradient Coil and Shim Design Physicist (f/m/d) for MRIs.

  Choose the best place for your work – Within the scope of this position, it is possible, in consultation with your manager, to work mobile (within Germany) up to an average volume of 60% of the respective working hours.

  Your tasks and responsibilities:

  You develop state-of-the-art gradient coils and shim systems based on innovative architectures, circuits, and integration concepts

  You drive the development of digital twins and simulations for gradient coils and shim systems and its interaction with other system components such as the magnet

  You follow the latest technology trends and identify innovation fields for gradient coils and shimming in the MRI environment

  You work independently in a cross-functional, agile team with experts from mechanics, layout, system architecture and software. Together you develop the MRI platforms of the future

  You will accompany your components from the initial concept phase, through product development to series launch

  You will take over product support and maintenance within your area of responsibility and independently carry out cost-down measures

  Your qualifications and experience:

  You have a master's degree in physics, electrical engineering, mathematics or mechatronics, ideally with a focus on applied electrodynamics and electromagnetics.

  You have several years of experience in the field of electrodynamics and electromagnetics e.g. high voltage technology, simulation and computational methods

  Alternatively, you have a PhD in physics or a related field, preferably with a focus on medical technology, electrodynamics/electromagnetics and simulation, or a similar subject area

  You are familiar with electrical and radio frequency measurement techniques, such as network and spectrum analyzers and oscilloscopes

  You have good knowledge of engineering and electromagnetic simulation software (e.g. Matlab, Simulink, Mathematica, Maple, NACS, ANSYS etc.)

  You are thrilled by the abilities methods such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, uncertainty and chaos theory offer and you are eager to apply them

  You have a strong hands-on mentality and enjoy the mix of theoretical and practical work
