Summary
The GPO Revenue Recovery Specialist is primarily responsible to recover contract administrative fees (CAF) owed to our Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) from contracted suppliers, therefore directly impacting the net revenue of the GPO and its members. The recovery process involves data analysis, audits, identification of reporting discrepancies, contract interpretation, direct conversations with suppliers and continued correspondence and negotiations with suppliers until issues are resolved. The specialist develops, executes and leads action plans for resolving these incidences of unreported administrative fees through collaboration with contract management, sourcing, operations, finance, legal, field force, etc., as well as directly with GPO members and suppliers at many different levels within their respective organizations.
Essential Functions
Develop, implement, and manage the data collection audit and review process to ensure recovery of all earned administrative fees.
Design and generate queries and complex pivot tables to collect and organize spend, CAF and rebate data.
Perform analysis and engage suppliers where CAF fees are not paid accurately or timely.
Design and implement performance monitoring tools and reports; develop, maintain and publish GPO fee recovery and audit metrics for the GPO and its members.
Research and recommend new and more pertinent performance metrics
Collaborate with system and regional IT, Finance, and Supply Chain staff to develop ad hoc GPO Fee analyses, forecasts and budgets in response to the needs of senior executive GPOmanagement.
Obtain, audit, and report on GPO and local contract compliance statistics relative to CAF collection.
Develop and monitor rebate-tracking mechanisms to ensure full payment from suppliers. Audit suppliers, system, region, and facility adherence to contract fee payments
Employment Qualifications
Required Minimum Education: 4 year Bachelor's Degree. Field of Study: Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
Minimum Years and Type of Experience Required : Two to four years’ experience in Supply Chain, Purchasing or Distribution Management or equivalent healthcare finance experience.
Required Skills: Expertise in Excel as well as proficiency in Windows XP, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access and use of Internet services. Excellent written/verbal communication skills. Able to interact with other professionals at all levels of the organization. Strong organizational/multi-tasking skills. Able to plan and execute complex analyses, and reports. Able to bring analytical projects to completion. Ability to to work independently, proactively with limited supervision to fulfill departmental objectives. This individual must be capable of working in a multi-disciplinary environment.
