Scope:
The Global Trade & Customs Compliance Manager will help lead and support our global trade initiatives ensuring company compliance with import and export laws and regulations while driving technological upgrades and ERP system optimization. Focus will include, but is not limited to, CBP, FDA and other PGAs. Strong experience with international tax and VAT applicability desired. This role will lead, and support initiatives to reduce costs, improve cycle times, minimize customs duties and enhance the visibility and security of our supply chain network. This role will be a key decision maker in enhancing and streamlining our global trade processes at Dentsply Sirona. Customs Broker’s License is a requirement for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage HTS classification updates and reclassification initiatives
Manage duty drawback / Reconciliation / Minimization
Manage import and export compliance assessment including ACE ownership.
Institute and manage duty reconciliation processes
Global SME for Customs Compliance
Help lead implementation of Global Dashboard / Scorecard of customs clearance performance, brokerage fees and additional KPI’s related to Global Trade Compliance
Help develop global processes
Identify savings via HRS classifications.
Drive FDA and PGA relationships and reporting

Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Logistics or related field.Certifications/Licensing:
Licensed Customs BrokerYears and Type of Experience:
5+ years of experience in Global Supply Chain / Logistics / Customs Compliance / Global TradeKey Required Skills, Knowledge and Capabilities:
Import Customs Brokerage experience
Harmonized Tariff classification expertise
Free Trade qualification experience
Experience with SAP GTS or similar
Knowledge of US export control procedures
Experience with US partner government agencies (FDA, EPA, USDA, etc.) Work experience in an international trade environment.
Experience with Medical Device / Pharmaceutical Industry a plus
Excellent communication and follow up skills to manage expectations and resolve conflicts with stakeholders.
Strong numerical problem-solving skills. Ability to generate cogent reports from diverse data
Ability to collaborate with cross functional teams on an international basis.
Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint a must.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
