Strategic sourcing of API for I&D project ensures compliant and cost competitive supply of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs)& Excipients

　　Take lead on I&D sourcing projects and influence peers, as appropriate, in the leadership of projects for example, cross-functional team members on a sourcing project team.

　　Uses thorough market intelligence and data analysis to gain critical insights that drive the selection of API, Excipients Strategies.

　　Supports development, recommendation and implementation of sourcing strategies and ensures alignment, compliance and delivery of business requirements/needs of I&D.

　　Demonstrates excellence in executing sourcing management process and closely collaborates with Quality, Supply Chain, Technical ops, Project Management, finance, EHS and Regulatory groups during each step of the process.

　　Identify and take steps to reduce business risk & ensure supply security & gross margin through the development of effective sourcing strategies.

　　Role is expected to generate required analytical insights appropriate for category such as market trends, supplier profiles, EHS, performance management and develop annual business plan for API, Excipients.

　　Prepare detailed pre-negotiation plans, to lead and participate any prolonged negotiation sessions with suppliers and to conduct post negotiations debriefs and follow through plans.

　　Long term supply / service agreement with key strategic suppliers for global I &D projects.

　　Preparation of monthly MIS of Supplier Enabled Innovation & Sourcing function.

　　Ensuring “should” cost model of key API, Excipients.

　　Has experience/Exposure in defining, selection & negotiation with Third party manufacturers of finished products to

　　Qualifications:

　　B. Pharm or or BE Chemicals /BSc

　　MBA

　　Experience:

　　8-10 years - experience with at least 2 years Strategic Sourcing of API/Excipients/Raw Materials for regulated / semi-regulated market & at least 2-3 years exposure in TPM selection/management.

　　Exposure of working in global environment & matrix organization
