This opportunity is within our industry leading Institutional division, which offers comprehensive chemical products and solutions to meet the needs of customers across the entire food service and hospitality industry.
In this role you will be responsible for:
Installing, servicing, and maintaining warewashing, laundry, and housekeeping dispensing systems for Ecolab customers aboard cruise shipsTraining ship personnel on the proper use of Ecolab products, equipment and best practices.Perform electrical, mechanical, and plumbing repairs according to marine standards
Complete SDR Report for the Customer Service Call and DSRMaintain storage unit inventory, cleanliness and provide required information to management.Perform emergency calls, which may occur at anytime, anywhere in the world.Required to travel to various ports of call, both domestic and international, for periods of up to 1-2 months at a time.

Candidate must reside in: San Juan, Puerto RicoWork week and shift: Works 5 days and has 2 days off (availability to work weekends), day shift
To be successful in this role you will have:
Demonstrated hands-on mechanical abilityMust possess mechanical reasoning ability and exhibit problem solving skills to troubleshoot, repair and install equipment and dispensing systems.Strong communication skills (English)Flexibility to adapt and adjust your day to assist your customers in meeting their critical needs.Must have a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle recordMust have a valid passport enabling travel to ports world- wide without restrictions.Must be willing to work weekends.Willing/able to be deployed to ports around the world for 1-6 weeks at a time.

Must be able to access and be comfortable with working in a variety of conditions to include confined spaces, freezing conditions and hot conditionsMust be able to physically perform the essential duties of the position which include lifting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, balancing, walking, standing, talking and hearingMust be able to pass a laboratory and physical exam

The Global Marine Service Specialist will generally work a five-day work week which includes weekends. Days off generally occur Monday through Friday. This partneris generally assigned to work from a home base. Based on the cruise business, ships are moved to different parts of the world during different seasons. When this occurs, the Global Marine Service Specialist travels to San Juan, Puerto Rico.
