Global Real Estate & Facilities (GREF) designs and continuously improves the environments and experiences that support the diverse ways Amazonians work, delivering workplaces and experiences that bring our teams together to inspire, nurture, and enable them to invent and to delight our customers.
This role leads conceptualizing, designing, prototyping and piloting efforts in evolving the Amazon Corporate Workplace as part of the GREF Create Team. They Identify strategic opportunities, create first instance design solutions, and determine a path to scale for any given concept or system.
Key job responsibilities
This role will work across disciplines through a rigorous program of iterative development to improve five primary areas of design focus: acoustics, lighting, furniture, infrastructure, and technology. In addition, this role will partner with the Living Systems Architect to integrate horticulture and biophilic design. They will integrate design ideas from these key areas and others into high quality experiences, managing a prototype lab and using pilot projects to test assumptions, collect data, and make informed recommendations for the design, delivery, and maintenance of large in-flight projects.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent, preferably in design field
8+ years design experience (architecture, interior design or similar)
5+ years experience in Workplace design and development
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated ability to communicate design vision in visual, written, and verbal formats
Ability to work effectively in an extremely fast paced, ambiguous environment.
Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, organization, time management, and problem solving skills.
Proven track record of owning project from start to finish – self-starter and self-directed

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $108,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $201,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
