  Reporting to: Global Vice President GSIs

   Your opportunity

  Join an international team of senior leaders with the mission to build and accelerate SUSE's global business with strategic alliance partners.

  We are seeking an experienced, commercially oriented business professional to assess who SUSE works with in the GSI space. Your vision and direction as a cross-functional business leader will inspire the active engagement of indirect team-members from across SUSE's global organization - including sales, marketing, services, products and more - all working together with you to create strategic plans and take to market compelling, differentiated solutions with your partner that drive rapid commercial growth.

  With a deep understanding of the GSI landscape, business strategy and culture, you will engage with GSIs at senior levels to develop a set of choices for who SUSE can approach in the GSI landscape. You will develop a shared strategic vision and the executive sponsorship and support required to build a partnerships from the ground up. As a respected thought leader, you will propose innovative new business ideas and secure the partner alignment and engagement needed to put them into practice.

  The key to success will be your ability to foster cross-functional collaboration and co-innovation between SUSE and a small set of GSIs and effectively drive the resulting differentiated solutions into the market together in a way that clearly aligns with both organizations' strategies, goals and targets.

   Responsibilities Deliver on the global financial targets for SUSE's business with your partner - responsible for revenue growth, forecasting and reporting of assigned partnerBuild and foster executive relationships, networking and influence across GSI organization at all levels needed to drive successCreate and execute holistic long-term and annual strategic plans that set the direction for the alliance and unlock the full potential of commercial growthInspire and lead a cross-functional virtual team (Sales, Services, Customer Success, Marketing, Technical, Product and Solutions)With your extended team, develop a deep level of collaboration and co-innovation (both technology and business) with your partner that results in differentiated joint solutionsUse your knowledge, relationships and influence within both SUSE and your partner to ensure joint solution plans are aligned with and executed on by both organizations GTM teamsBe a subject matter expert on all aspects of your partner - organization, strategy, market, performance etcCollaborate as part of the broader alliances team to share ideas, thought leadership and best practices Requirements 5-7+ years in alliance/partnership leadership roles including commercial responsibility, Americas and global scope with both direct reporting teams and indirect virtual team responsibilities.10+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure software industry with alliances, partnership sales and relationship management responsibilitiesHighly effective at developing, maintaining and influencing partner relationships at all levels including day to day execution relationships and senior leadership levelsExcellent communications and presentation capabilities combined with ability to clearly articulate complex business proposals and to influence both internal and external stakeholders at senior leadership levelsExcellent cross-functional leadership and collaboration skills that can quickly bring together a virtual team to execute effectively on shared goals and objectivesExperience coordinating with an ecosystem of adjacent partners types (cloud providers, ISV etc.) adjacent to your alliance partner - ie. forming/executing multi-partner solution and GTM plansStrong market knowledge and ability to create successful commercial growth strategies as well as own and execute on a long-term strategic planDemonstrated success at applying commercial analytical skill to long-term business planning that results in tangible business outcomes.Ability and willingness to travel up to 30% global travelJob
