Description:
Reporting to a Director responsible for a group of Clinical Services for the hospital site and with/through subordinate personnel, assumes management responsibility for a single major (or multiple smaller) function(s), service(s) or process(es) that provides support to clinical operations. Provides 24-hour accountability for patient care delivery, planning, and evaluation of services for one or more clinical areas and staff performance. Initiates, facilitates, and supports communication among a variety of health care providers and with various external agencies. Requires a high level of independent judgment and substantial latitude for independent action. Direct reports may include Clinical Leaders, Coordinators and/or high-level professional/administrative exempt and Nursing supervisory personnel.
Position qualifications:
Education
Minimum: For Nursing Areas - Associates degree in Nursing required. Bachelor’s degree, Master’s Degree desired.
For case management - Associates degree in Nursing or Licensed Master Social Worker required.
Preferred. Bachelor’s degree, Master’s Degree desired.
Credentials/Licensure
Minimum: For Nursing Area: Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Michigan
Related Experience
Minimum: 3-5 years clinical experience. Previous positions should include successive levels of increased responsibility
Preferred: Two years prior supervisory or manager experience and five years of clinical experience in similar areas
