About Staff Accountant

  Kforce has a client that is seeking a Staff Accountant in Tampa, FL.Key Tasks:

  Staff Accountant will maintain general ledgers for a variety of LLCs including posting cash receipts, disbursements, accounts receivable, and accounts payable

  Review bank/brokerage accounting reconciliations and work independently to resolve discrepancies

  Review standard financial statements for entities under management on a monthly basis

  Review and finalize financial information between reporting systems (general ledger, Excel, and organizational documents)

  Maintain record keeping for all entities including organizational and transaction documents

  Review and finalize monthly invoicing for professional services (interior design, construction management, investment advisory and financial advisory)

  Review and finalize monthly draw reconciliations for real estate project management

  Maintain treasury functions to ensure funds meet their obligations

  Work with the firm's fund administrators to ensure all fund reporting is accurate and maintained properly in accordance with GAAP and SEC requirements

  As a Staff Accountant, you will work with the firm's fund administrators to review expense allocations, management fee calculations, net asset value calculations and other miscellaneous reports

  Work with the firm's fund administrators to facilitate capital calls/distributions, review calculations and notices to investors

  Review quarterly financial statements and investor capital statements

  Complete investment subscription documentation

  General Responsibilities:

  Compilation of tax documents to provide to third party tax preparer

  Staff Accountant will prepare information packages for and assist third party auditors, tax preparers and valuation experts with work related to all entities

  Manage junior team members to accomplish tasks

  Assist accounting team members with ad hoc tasks as requested

  Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting; CPA eligible

  Minimum of 1 year of accounting experience

  Proficiency with Microsoft Office, with strong emphasis on Excel

  Familiarity with Sage Intacct and iPaladin is preferred

  Ability to become proficient in new software quickly

  Desire to work in a small collegial environment; Ability to self-motivate and manage multiple tasks and projects

  A team player who can contribute to the team's success during busy periods and downtime equally

  Highly detail and data-oriented with solid critical thinking, organizational and analytical skills

  Comfortable taking the initiative and suggesting new ideas, processes, improvements, etc.

  Communicates effectively with internal and external parties

  Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in performing duties

  The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

  We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.

  Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.

  This job is not eligible for bonuses, incentives or commissions.
