Responsibilities
Develop and execute strategic, operational, technical and manufacturing process plans in chemical development and GMP production of API.
Responsible for managing research and manufacturing teams to deliver products in a speedy manner that ensures high levels of customer satisfaction.
Exhibit strong confidence and build customer relationship and trust. Lead the way in setting an example in building partnerships.
Ensure smooth tech transfer of projects within the Curia Network from early phase chemical development through Commercial Drug Substance manufacturing.
Lead and mentor leadership team members, facilitating a culture that motivates employees.
Exhibit safety awareness and drive safe work practices. Protect employees and visitors by maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
Assessing and analyzing site AOP and finding ways to maximize profits.
Ensure continuous improvement culture and implement lean manufacturing techniques and cost reductions programs.
Identify opportunities to maximize capacity utilization, expand and hone in on areas with changing market dynamics.
Ensure strong communication within the team and align strongly with upward management on changing priorities.
Working closely together with all support functions e.g. QA, Finance, legal and is responsible for the logistic and facility items at the site.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s, Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Chemistry and/or Chemical Engineering or related field. Having an MBA preferred.
10+ years’ experience managing in a pharmaceutical R&D/manufacturing environment of which 5+ years in a leadership role with a track record of improving operational efficiency; specific understanding of drug substance research & manufacturing essential.
Good knowledge of CMC including analytical methodologies and technology transfer
Must have strong communication, change management and managerial skills
Strong knowledge and demonstrated implementation of Compliance Management – cGMP, technical operations, quality and regulatory systems.
Strong understanding and managing the P&L at the site
Pay Range: $188,000 - $244,800
Education, experience, location and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
